Christmas Morning

Merry Christmas!
Can you believe this year is my third year posting a "What I Got For Christmas Video?".  Every year on Christmas morning, I wake up my parents (way too early lol) and open gifts. For the years I have been on Youtube, I open gifts, and film my "What I Got For Christmas" video. I always share with my family how everyone on YouTube posts today and how everyone watches Youtube today, as it is quite comical. During this, I eat Christmas cookies and drink lots of coffee. This morning, I played around with my drone. I thought it would be more of a remote control car style, where it is very simplistic. I am learning how to use it however, and it is really fun!
As a family, we attended Christmas service at our church today. I mentioned in today's video how Jesus is the most precious gift of all this Christmas season and how I am truly thankful for the gifts I received this morning. When I read the Christmas story, I am amazed more and more. Jesus was a baby born in a manager. Manager in French means to "eat" and "itch". Doesn't seem like a place for a baby does it? Especially a baby who is the Prince of Peace, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
Later, for dinner, we decided on chinese food. I'm not one that usually likes chinese food, but I really enjoyed it. I felt like the Gilmore's and with our leftovers, I felt even more like the Gilmore's.
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah!!

November Central Perk

Hello Coffee Lovers!
Today, I am sharing my coffee thoughts for November. I have had several types in the past few weeks, and am excited to share my reviews and stories with you.
Dunkin' Donuts: I will be starting off with a coffee that has a bit of a story. So, my mother and I have been getting Starbucks for the last few days and wanted to try something new. We went to Dunkin' Donuts and unfortunately had a rather poor experience. My mom "took one for the central perk" and tried the coffee. We ordered two small, regular coffees with almond milk. My mom has been drinking coffee for over 20 years, so her opinion is incredibly important and valid. She said the coffee was horrible, as it was bitter, watery and overall unpleasant. We both know Dunkin' Dounts makes an excellent cup of coffee, and has a high standard. However, this was a unfortunate experience.
Starbucks Carmel Brûlée Latte: So, because of the Florida weather, I usually get iced coffee. I did try this latte iced, and I have mixed feelings. It tastes more of a candy bar with a bit of coffee than a solid cup of coffee. Although I did enjoy the iced version, it was not my favorite. I tried this latte hot and it tasted like the holiday season. A bit of a hyperbole yes, but it is amazing! Again, not a full on coffee taste, but the flavor is so bold and delicious, I can't help but enjoy it.
Starbucks Chestnut Praline Latte: My mom has been getting this latte. She loves it, but agrees with me that we both have been desiring a bold, hot cup of coffee.
Panera Salted Carmel Coffee: How did we end up here you may ask? My mom and I decided to get this coffee because we hoped this would be that cup of coffee we were looking for. We both wanted to be able to make a pot of coffee, and go back for a second (or third cup). I can gladly say, this is that perfect cup of coffee. I suggested that we get something with caramel in it because I enjoy the iced caramel macchiato. This coffee was so very good, that we refilled our cup a few times.

"You like coffee?" "Only with my oxygen!!"
If you know where this quote is from, go have a cup of coffee to celebrate ;)

Red Cup Season

Hello Everyone!
As most of you know November 10th marked the beginning of winter, well not officially but red cups returned to Starbucks. As most of you know, I love coffee and Starbucks. My newest coffee recommendations will be in the November Central Perk so be on the look out for that. From November 10- 14 from 2-5 pm you can get a holiday drink for you and one for a friend (It's Buy One Get One Free)! If you are a gold star member, it is extended an extra hour until 6:00pm. I tried the Carmel Brûlée Latte both hot and iced. My in depth thoughts will be in the November Central Perk, but both were amazing!! They have three different flavors which you can get iced, hot, or as a frappuccino. My mom tried the Chestnut Praline Latte, and she loved it as well. I have been preferring hot coffee to iced coffee, as the weather has changed ( for the colder ) and the flavors are much bolder.
So, let's talk about the cups. They are designed beautifully, and there are 13 different cups. Twelve for hot drinks, and one for iced. As I am typing this, I am actually at Starbucks with a friend. It is so nice to grab a cup of coffee, and get work done. The red cups are not only Instagram worthy, but a great fall/winter drink.
Enjoy!

Soup and Good Company

Hello Everyone!
The weather in Florida is quite the puzzle. In the morning, it's cool, in the middle of the day, its an oven, and at night it cools down again. I went on a picnic the other day and my phone overheated so much it told me it wouldn't work until it cooled down. Well, that's Florida weather for you!
My mom and I decided to get butternut squash soup for dinner, and enjoy the Florida weather by sitting outside. We had a small piece of bread on the side. We are actually eating vegan right now, so I will be updating you all soon on how it's going! I went vegan this summer for a few weeks and loved it. My mom and I both are enjoying eating vegan and this was no exception.
I really enjoyed the time, and am so glad I could spend it with such great company, shoutout to you mom! Before this, my mom and I grabbed a cup of coffee. Both of our thoughts will be shared in the November Central Perk, so look out for that. As far of my thoughts on the soup; it was delicious!
Have a great weekend!
Enjoy!

Happy Halloween!

Hello Everyone!
Happy Halloween! I hope you all have a fun, safe, and candy filled Halloween. If you aren't going trick-or-treating, I have you covered. While studying, you can eat your favorite Halloween candy to stay focused and in the spirit. My personal favorite are the pumpkin shaped candies (made with honey) and Dove's Salted Carmel Chocolate (Yum!). Or, treat yourself to a Frappula from Starbucks. If you want to watch Netflix I suggest these Halloween themed Friends episodes. Double points if you bring along your candy and watch Friends. Other films include Hocus Pocus, and It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown! If you are wondering what I am for Halloween, I am a physician! I could be considered Meredith Grey (Grey's Anatomy) or Lisa Cuddy (House M.D). I want to be a pediatric cardiologist so this costume was quite fitting for Halloween!
Have a Spooktacular Day!

Central Perk October Edition

Hello Everyone!
My favorite TV series of all time is Friends. I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to Friends, and I follow several Friends Instagram and Twitter accounts. In a nut shell, it's safe to say I'm a "mere fan of the show." If you know anything about Friends, you would know that everyday they get coffee from the Central Perk.
What better way to share my love for Friends and my love for coffee! Each month or so, I will share with you all my favorite coffee of the month. This month, I have had several amazing cup of coffee.

First, I had went on a study date with my friend to Starbucks.  I had a free drink, and asked what the largest size I could get was. Life hack time! You can get a venti, with extra shots, pumps etc! I was so shocked by this, and ordered a Venti Iced Carmel Macchiato with six pumps of vanilla and extra caramel drizzle. Shoutout to the Barista that made my drink because it made the blogger in me reach for my camera to snap a picture. It was so very good and I absolutely loved it. A few days ago, my mom and I stopped into Starbucks for a cappuccino. They recently started having almond milk in addition to coconut milk (shoutout to all my vegan readers). My mom and I did get the almond milk, and oh my goodness! It was very strong and it gave me a fall feel.
Lastly, I love Califia Farms coffee. It is so nice to wake up in the morning and not have to go grab your coffee and just have it in your refrigerator waiting for you. Its cold brew, so you don't have a bitter taste which you can get with iced coffee sometimes. I'm 100% serious that I look forward to having my cup of coffee in the morning, and when I wake up its the first thing I do.
I hope my coffee recommendations helped you guys out. Leave your favorite coffee brands/types below as I would love to try them! Also, if you haven't watched Friends take this as your sign to go watch a few episodes!
Enjoy!

Bucket List #1 Drink A Pumpkin Spice Latte

Hello Everyone!
Today, I am sharing with you guys the first bucket list task! The Florida heat has now been replaced with a much needed fall breeze. I understand people in the Northern part of the United States probably find this amusing, but us Floridians, its a step in the right direction. As you all know, I love coffee. However, I only drink almond and coconut milk. Well, because I only drink almond and coconut milk is how I found my favorite coffee! I drink the Califia Field milk, and they also make coffee products!
If you are vegan, or can't consume dairy, this coffee is for you! It is extremely healthy and has several flavors. Personally, I purchase mine at Whole Foods for around five dollars. It has six, eight ounce cups of coffee in it, so it will last you about a week. The first flavor I tried was espresso, and oh my goodness! The flavor isn't bitter, and it tastes just like mocha ice-cream. And what you've all been waiting for, they also have a Pumpkin Spice Latte flavor. Again, it was so creamy and gives just enough caffeine.
Needless to say, this bucket list number #1 is a success! I am so excited to be sharing my bucket list adventures with you guys, so stay tuned, and keep your eye out for more posts!

DIY Inspirational & Goal Board

Hello Everyone!
If you happen to live in Florida, Georgia, or the Carolinas, you may be feeling the affects of Hurricane Matthew. I am so thankful that the effects were not devastating, as the news kept saying it was going to be. I continue to pray that this storm goes out to sea, and does not harm anyone further.
I purchased the supplies to do this a few months back, but have been waiting for the perfect day. Today was that day, and with the hurricane, I pulled out my supplies, and began.
Supplies:
Corkboard
Lilly Pulitzer Magazines
Push Pins
Stickers
Buttons
Magazines
Really Anything Works

I actually filmed myself making my board, so this would make more sense, and you can see how mine turned out!  I would love to see your creations on Instagram, so be sure to tag me!
Enjoy!

Southern Striped Fall Outfit

Hello Guys!
As much as we want to be able to bundle up with layers and layers, the weather is just not ready quite yet. Whether your transitioning into cooler weather, or cooler weather is not your future *cough* the South.  Regardless, I absolutely love this outfit! To me, it is straight from my fall Pinterest board. My striped dress is from Dilliards as well as my boots. My bracelets are Alex and Ani. I dutch braided my hair, which adds to the fall feel. Dutch braiding your hair is hard to learn, but once you do, it will become your go-to hairstyle. I hope the weather drops at least ten degrees in the next few days. Oh, a Florida Girl can dream!
Enjoy!

It's Pumpkin Spice Everything Season

Hello Everyone!
Fall is my favorite season for so many reasons. The weather is beautiful and fall is home to some of my favorite months and holidays. Cable knit sweaters, bean boots and leggings, come to mind when I think of fall fashion. When I have time in fall, I love to put on fuzzy socks, download a book on my Kindle, and sip a hot cup of tea.
To celebrate the first day of fall (September 22, 2016), there are several things you can do! I know I'm not the only one who loves the Pillsbury pumpkin cookies. They are the cutest size and taste delicious. Whenever I am at my grocery store, I always stop to see if they have them. I won't lie, the other day, when I saw them for the first time, I may have ran over to them as a child visiting Disney for the first time runs to the princesses. They bake in no time and are the perfect treat while doing your homework.
The next thing you can do is have something pumpkin flavored! I know everyone loves the PSL from Starbucks, but that's not the only fall flavored item. Several other coffee restaurants serve pumpkin drinks, most of the time for cheaper. If your looking to make/purchase these items yourself, there are pumpkin creme cookies from Publix, pumpkin tea, basically, it's pumpkin spice everything season.
The last thing you can do, is something I try to do everyday. I know we are all so very busy. But, I encourage you to start a new habit this Thursday for fall. Stop, take a moment and just enjoy the present. Take a walk outside. Play with your dog in the backyard. Look up at the trees and admire there leaves. Do this for a few minutes a day, and I promise you will be more productive. I challenge you all to do it for 21 days, just the time it takes to form a habit!
I hope you all enjoy the first day of fall! Fall is a time of new beginnings so seize the opportunity.
Enjoy!

Fueled By Coffee and Jesus

Hello Friends!
It's no secret. If your a busy student, your going to need some caffeine to keep you going. I've always been a tea drinker but I find some cons with that. First off, must tea has no caffeine, and if it does, it's not enough to wake me up. Secondly, it makes me tired. I think it just because sipping chamomile tea, is very relaxing which makes me quite sleepy. With this said, I just recently started drinking coffee. For first time coffee drinkers, I suggest getting a flavored coffee. Also, brew it over ice for a nicer taste. I also add my favorite coconut milk. The coffee blend I've been loving lately, is a Pumpkin Spice blend. I think this is the perfect blend and flavor for this time of year. Coffee is enough to wake me up, get me going and get my day started. However, beware as sometimes coffee can make you too jittery. Needless to say, coffee is truly a hug in a mug. Thanks for always being there for us coffee. Students all around the globe love and appreciate you.
I don't know if it's just me, but I love mugs! They are the perfect touch to my morning 'aesthetic'. I have several much loved mugs including my Anthropology mug, my NatureLife Mug, and my "Like a Boss" mug from Walmart. I got it for a steal! Mugs are just such a cute touch to your morning!

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon

Hi Guys!
Today I will being sharing with you guys a spoiler free synopsis and review on the book Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon.

Synopsis:
Madeline is allergic to everything. She lives in room reading books, and her only interaction with her teachers, her mother and her nurse, Carla. She becomes friends with the boy next door, and the two  start I'Ming. Olly and her both come from different lives, but how will their friendship survive through Madeline's bubble and Olly's home-life?

Review:
This book is a mix between The Fault in Our Stars, and every other contemporary novel. It had the cutesy, romantic factor but lacked substance. This was rather a fast read, but it felt really rushed, especially towards the end. The formatting was rather nice, with some little doodles which was interesting take on a YA novel. Some parts overcompensated for the parts that lacked detail. I would have loved to have seen background information on both characters and an ultimate plot line. Commonsensemedia puts this book at ages 13+.
Three out of five stars.
